I remember not long ago there was a sense of pride and a feeling of forward progress when ‘new understanding’ was revealed. You would often hear the Watchtower conductor or other speaker ask audience for the 'new light' on the particular topic being discussed.
I think too many elders are either too confused or too embarrassed to ask anymore cause they like many others know its’ horse pucky!
now that the "faithful & discreet slave class" has become essentially the governing body since 1919, almost every publication is obsolete and useless!
(i know, they are useless)..... the fds doctrine is a core teaching unique to jehovah's witnesses and now i believe they will have to change all of their understandings that are recorded in the revelation climax book, ezekiel books---every prophetic book written by the society!.

That’s what hope is all about, then hope turns to reality. So the answer to your question is yes.
I’ll bet the initial reaction of the vast majority of 15,500 at the annual meeting hearing this new understanding regarding the FDS was……….WHAAAAAA?
Likewise most JWs when they hear about it or read it for themselves will become soo confused. C onfusion in turn often results in frustration. Frustration turns to dissent! YES!!!!!
Anyway that’s my hope.

Have the elders at Rayleigh JW congregation, at least, alerted the parents that Barry Snow, a known child molester is in their midst? My guess would be no!

the whole concept of the faithful and discreet slave in the jw religion goes back to charles taze russell and/or his followers calling him the faithful and wise servant.
how in the blue blazes can they say he wasn't part of the faithful and discreet slave?.
quite a demotion, it must be said, from the faithful and discreet slave in the flesh to not even being a part of something that rutherford's lowly henchmen on the board of directors got to be a part of!.

Not just confusing, but extremely confusing is the way I would sum up the new understanding of the FDS.
A brother just shared some extensive notes about the Annual Meeting pertaining to Mat 24:45-47 regarding the Faithful and Discreet Slave and my head is still spinning.
Ain’t no way in hell that the majority of JWs will understand this ‘noo-lite’ much less be able to explain it to Bible Studies or other interested ones! There is just way too much speculation, conjecture, twists and turns in this one.
And yes, C.T. Russell is getting thrown under the bus as well!
Like the expression goes: ‘Oh the web we weave when first we practice to deceive!’
